Rachel Grant
I am an artist, illustrator and surface pattern designer based in 'The Potteries', the creative county of North Staffordshire in the UK.
My artistic practice is grounded in the meditative process of painting, combining collage, acrylic and gouache to create textural, often detailed, compositions that are inspired by simple things and slow, quiet living.
I am interested in our connections to home, heritage, seasons and the natural world, always seeking to capture an atmosphere of peace and harmony in everything I do; quiet, still moments in an otherwise chaotic world.
Being an introvert I am a real home bird, I like to grow plants, bake bread, knit and watch films, snuggled under crochet blankets. I yearn for flowers, fresh air and the sea and I listen to music all day, every day!
I sell my original artwork and prints in my Etsy store and my images are also available to license and commission for publication, editorial, surface pattern and more. Please see my home page for relevant links to buy.
